GARUDA WISNU KENCANA Cultural Park is a +/- 60ha area of cultural park located in Ungasan, Badung Regency. GWK Cultural Park offers a lavish Indonesian cultural heritage for years to come with the upcoming monumental Garuda Wisnu Kencana Statue as the Indonesian Icon of civilization, the number one cultural icon in Bali.

Garuda Wisnu Kencana statue is the symbol of God Vishnu riding the great Garuda as his trusted companion. The statue is designed to be one of the world’s largest and highest monumental statue in the world. Total height of the statue is 120m, consists of 24 segments and formed with 754 modules made of copper and brass coated patina acid.

At the Amphitheater of Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park, Bali, we give our visitors a free daily performance of Balinese famous dance, Kecak. Our specials are collaboration between Kecak and other traditional dances resulting in unique & fresh dance performances everyday as bellow schedulle ;

1.Balinese Dance

The beauty of the Balinese dance lies in the complexity of the gestures of fingers, hands, head, feet and eyes. The Balinese dances are extremely dynamic, angular and intensely expressive, all the movements are very elegant. Most of the dances are accompanied by a rich storyline.

2.Rindik Instrument

The Rindik instrument is usually played at ceremonial events, restaurants and hotel lobbies. It’s a traditional Balinese instrument with a very simple, yet distinctive sound. The instrument is usually played by three musicians and it requires a good concentration to play the different tempos and compositions.

3.Barong Keris Dance

This iconic dance-drama tells the story of Walederi kingdom, ruled by a king named Dasapati, who has two sons name Sunda and Upasunda. Their power and ambition to rule the world finally heard by God Indra. He felt so anxious, therefore God Indra sent the foremost beauty angel, Nilotama to tempt the Sunda and Upasunda’s meditation.

4.Garuda Wisnu Ballet

Is a traditional Balinese ballet (Sendratari) that performed the story of the Garuda Wisnu on the stage. Garuda bird is a bird from mythology and also mentioned in the first book of great epic Mahabrata. Garuda is God Vishnu’s trusted companion.

5.Joged Bumbung

Joged Bumbung Dance which is obviously connected with the season life in the fields or dedicated to Dewi Sri, Godness of Fertility, as a thanks giving ceremony

6.Nusantara Dance

The Nusantara dances cover different kind of traditional performances from all over Indonesia, the dances are very diverse and cover typical styles of the different islands. The show will be different every day.

7.Balinese Parade Kang Cing Wie

Kang Cing Wie is an ancient Balinese folklore based on a true story. The story portrays acculturation of Chinese with Balinese Society. Several character from this story appeared in the parade.

8.Kecak Garuda Wisnu

One of Bali’s most impressive and traditional dances is called the Tari Kecak Dance, or ‘Fire dance’. The music of this dance is supported only by the chanting of the male dancers, who intone a “Keh-Chak” choir during the entire performance. The artful Kecak dance is accompanied by a storyline of the Ramayana Hindu narrative.

9.Legong Dance

The dance of Legong is also one of Bali’s iconic dances, the dance is characterized by complicated footwork, intricate finger movements and expressive gestures and facial expressions. This dance enacts several different kinds of stories.

Animation film presented by GWK Cultural Park. Tells a story about the adventure of Sang Garuda to get Amerta for saving his mother from slavery.

  • If you cancel within 1 day(s) of the scheduled departure, there is a 100 percent cancellation fee.
